Our approach to construction administration begins during the design phase. The same engineers who provide preliminary studies and final design on a project are assigned to it through finished construction. Our involvement during construction has yielded us knowledge of contractor methods and building techniques, as well as current trends and design methods. The benefits from this are twofold:  the contractor benefits from having a working plan which is clear and concise, based on construction methods which have been proven in the field. By developing a high quality plan which leaves little room for miscommunication and the need for change orders or additions, the client benefits from the fact that construction costs, and ultimately project costs, are kept to a minimum.

During the construction phase, our Project Representative is at the job site at all times of significant activity and is responsible for maintaining a daily diary of activity, authorizes testing to be performed, and advises the Project Manager of any delays or problems with construction. In turn, our Project Manager conducts weekly project meetings, supervises the preparation of “as built” drawings, and reviews and approves contractor pay requests.
